ABOUT ME - JULIA MORRISON

Hi, I'm Julia and I live in Wokingham (Berkshire) with my husband and two teenage daughters. 

SOME BACKGROUND.....

I've always loved photography, but that passion grew as I became a mum obsessed with capturing every memory in my girls' lives.  As the photos around the house began to multiply, so did the compliments from family and friends telling me that I had a real talent for capturing natural shots of my girls playing outside.

Back in 2012, photography in my area was still very much studio based, so my "big idea" was to create a business solely specialising in outdoor shoots.  Full of energy and excitement, I threw myself into taking multiple training courses, invested in even more photography gear and launched my very own business: Julia Morrison Photography. 

The main aim of my photography business has always been to create beautiful, fun, vibrant outdoor family images for parents and children to enjoy for many years to come. 

I've also loved expanding into new areas such as newborn and personal branding photography.

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME.....

 I love coffee and chatting with friends, so you can often spot me in one of the many coffee shops in Wokingham!

 I used to be a gym fanatic, but since covid, just leap around my own living room as it's much cheaper and quicker when I'm busy with work! 

 My perfect evening is meeting up with friends and family, chatting over good food and wine.  

 I love cooking and trying new recipes from all over the world.  French cuisine is still one of my favourites, having lived there, so my "go-to" dinner party dish is Boeuf Bourgignon followed by Tarte Tatin. 

 I'm an avid baker, with my main specialities including chocolate cake, lemon drizzle and brownies.

 I love long walks, nature and gardening. 

 In a "previous life" I worked as a corporate lawyer in both London and Birmingham, before family life took over and the long working hours no longer appealed to me!

 As well as loving portrait photography, my other photography obsession is taking pics of flowers.  Lockdown finally gave me to time to launch my Wall Art Store , selling unique flower art photography for your home.
